How Can I Access Unsecured Finance?

How can I pay my bill?

There are a number of ways to pay your bill, find out below which one is right for you:

Direct Debit:
You can set up a Direct Debit by downloading and completing a Direct Debit form.
Once it's set up, you'll see it clearly marked on your statement. Until this time, please continue to make your payments in the usual way.
Important information: Direct Debit collection timeframes vary so please ensure you check your statement to find out when your Direct Debit will collect.

Debit card:
Log in to your Account and pay online or download the Amex UK app to pay on the go.
Please make sure to have your debit card to hand.
Important information: Please ensure you pay only up to the amount shown on your balance. American Express cannot accept payment for more than the outstanding current total balance. Debit Card payments will usually update your balance as soon as they are authorised, although Corporate Accounts and Accounts with a Flex Select balance can take 2 - 3 business days to appear.
All debit cards must be issued by a UK bank/building society.

Internet banking:
Personal Cardmembers, please use the following bank details:

Please use your 15 digit American Express Card number as the reference.
Your Faster Payment or BACS payment will update your balance as soon as it has been received.

A CHAPS payment to a Personal Card will update your balance displayed as soon as it has been received.

International payments:
If you would like to pay from an international bank account, please use the following details:

Paying at your bank:
Please note: This option is not available for customers enrolled in Paperless statements.
Please ensure you pay only up to the amount shown on your balance. American Express cannot accept payment for more than the outstanding current total balance.
Take the completed bank giro slip from your statement, along with payment, to your bank. If you are making a payment by cheque, please write your 15 digit American Express Card number on the front of the cheque. Cash payments may take 2 - 3 business days to appear on your Account.

Paying by cheque:

Please write your 15 digit American Express Card number on the front of your cheque and send it, along with your completed bank giro slip, to the address on your most recent statement. Make sure your cheque is payable to American Express Services Europe Limited.
Please allow 7 - 10  business days from the time we receive the cheque for the payment to appear on your Account.
