What You Can Expect With Your Corporate Card

Service & Support

  • Access to Cash When Needed

    Get access to Corporate Cash1 when you need it with your Card. The cash withdrawal is billed to individual Corporate Gold Card Accounts and appears as a charge on the next statement following the withdrawal. A transaction fee applies to each withdrawal. Cash withdrawal is capped at the local currency equivalent of US$1,000 every 7 days. The transaction fee is 5% of the total amount.

    Enrolment required and subject to your Company’s approval. To apply, complete the Corporate Cash Enrolment Form.

  • Emergency Cheque Cashing

    If you need to cash a personal cheque urgently, you can use your Corporate Gold Card as a valuable form of security. You can cash a personal cheque for up to US$1,000 every 7 days in Singapore and every 21 days while overseas at American Express Foreign Exchange Services Offices worldwide.

  • 24/7 Customer Service

    Professional and dedicated customer support is always just a phone call away to assist with billing enquires, replacement Card requests, or access to a Card benefit or service. Reach customer support at 800 732 2566 (8.30am-7.00pm Monday to Friday except Public Holidays) and 800 737 8188 after office hours. If calling from abroad, please dial (+65) 6732 2566.

  • Emergency Card Replacement

    If your Corporate Gold Card is lost or stolen, please report this incident immediately on 800 732 2566 (9am – 5.30pm, Monday to Friday), or 800 737 8188 after hours if you are in Singapore. If travelling overseas, you may contact us at (65) 6732 2566 (9am – 5.30pm, Monday to Friday) or (65) 6737 8188 after hours.

    Upon notification, the nearest American Express Travel Service will issue you with a replacement Card, usually by the next business day at no extra cost. Upon notification, we will accept full responsibility for all unauthorised charges from that point on.

  • Online Account Management

    Having signed up for Manage Your Card Account, you can make payments, view statements, complete expense reports and manage your Membership Rewards 24/7, anywhere Internet access is available.

  • Emergency Global Assist® Hotline

    When travelling for business, call the free Global Assist®3 service for legal and medical emergencies. Our service team can connect you with an English or Chinese-speaking lawyer or doctor. The service is available 24 hours a day virtually anywhere in the world, whenever you travel more than 200km from home, for up to 90 days. To contact Global Assist, please call (65) 6334 0729. When calling from overseas, you may request to have call charges reversed by the operator.

  • Assured Reservations

    When booking your travel arrangements through American Express Travel Services and paying with your Corporate Gold Card, the Worldwide Select Hotel programme ensures that your room will be held for your arrival until checkout time the following day. The American Express Worldwide Select Hotel Guide is available through your American Express travel consultant.

  • Purchase Travellers Cheques

    Travellers Cheques on the Card allows you to purchase Travellers Cheques from selected American Express Travel Service Offices. Additional fees may apply. If your Company enrols for this service, you may also be bound by any internal policies limiting the amount you are able to purchase. Please refer to your Company's internal policies (where applicable) to ensure compliance with your Company policies.

  • Business Travel Accident Insurance

    When travel tickets for a scheduled carrier are charged to the Corporate Gold Card, you automatically receive comprehensive Travel Accident Insurance at no extra cost4 for up to S$350,000.

  • Travel Inconvenience Insurance

    When travel tickets are charged to your Corporate Gold Card, you automatically get the added protection of inconvenience insurance coverage. At no additional fee, you’ll receive Travel Inconvenience Insurance, which provides reimbursement of:

    • Up to S$400 for missed connections
    • Up to S$500 for luggage delay
    • Up to S$1,00 for lost or stolen luggage
    • Up to S$400 for flight delay

  • Accident Medical Insurance

    Accident Medical Insurance provides reimbursement of medical expenses incurred as a result of injury sustained while travelling on business with an Overseas Medical Extension of up to S$500,0005.

  • Baggage and Personal Possessions Insurance

    Baggage and Personal Possessions Insurance provides reimbursement for or replacement of lost/damaged/stolen baggage while travelling on business on a common carrier of up to S$9,000.

  • Online Fraud Protection

    As an American Express Corporate Gold Card member you can make purchases over the Internet secure in the knowledge that you will not be held responsible for any unauthorized charges online, provided you have taken responsible care. You also need to notify American Express immediately6 after discovery of any fraudulent transactions, in compliance with Card Terms and Conditions.

Rewards & Savings

  • Membership Rewards® Programme

    Earn 1 Membership Rewards point for every eligible S$1.60 spent on your Corporate Card7. These points have no expiry date and are redeemable for air travel and hotel stays, as well as shopping, home and recreation items.

    The annual membership fee for Membership Rewards programme is S$75. Please enrol with us by calling 1800 732 2566, or contact your company’s Programme Administrator to check if you are eligible for enrolment in the Membership Rewards Programme.

Corporate Gold Card Member Benefits
Benefit Terms

1. Corporate Cash: The transaction fee is 5% of the total amount. Access to the Corporate Cash service is not automatic. Your Company needs to register for this service and Card Members must then enrol individually with American Express. In addition, proof of identity to comply with government requirements may be required. Card Members will be informed via post when they have been enrolled and will be supplied with a PIN. Please note that Card Members cannot delegate a colleague in their Company to enrol on their behalf. At least one transaction must be made on the Card in order for Card Members to use at ATMs.

2. Worldwide Customer Care Services: All services are subject to local laws and cash availability. Not all services are available at all locations.

3. Emergency Global Assist® Hotline: As the Global Assist Hotline is an assistance service; we cannot reimburse you for expenses you incur on your own. Please refer to the Global Assist Summary of Coverage for additional details and restrictions.

4. Business Travel Accident Insurance: Please refer to your insurance certificate for details. Insurance is underwritten by ACE Insurance Limited and is subject to the Terms and Conditions of cover. Exclusions and limitations apply.

5. Overseas Medical Extension: Subject to exclusion of the first S$150 of each and every claim and each every occurrence. Other exclusions may apply. Refer to T&Cs for details.

6. Online Fraud Protection: Immediately means as soon as one is aware but no later than on or before the payment due date of the statement on which the fraudulent transaction appears.

7. Membership Rewards: Membership Rewards enrolment required (an annual fee applies). Subject to the Terms and Conditions of the Membership Rewards programme. Your Company must allow participation in Membership Rewards to be eligible to enrol. Enrolment to the programme is not automatic and an annual fee applies. You must enrol yourself and cannot delegate someone else in your Company to do so on your behalf.

Points will be awarded as long as your Card Account remains valid and enrolled in the Membership Rewards Programme, and provided it remains in good standing and is not cancelled for any reason. Corporate Cards issued in Singapore by American Express International, Inc. will earn one point for every S$1.60 spent. If you cancel your enrolment from the Membership Rewards Programme, you must redeem any points within 30 days of cancellation; otherwise the points will be forfeited. If your Card Account is cancelled or terminated, any points in your Membership Rewards account will be forfeited on the date of account termination
